Pasta - 2 cups
Shrimp - 10 to 12
Olive oil - 1 tbsp
Red capsicum - 1/2 cup
Chili flakes - 1/2 tsp
Italian seasoning - 1/2 tsp
Cream or whole milk - 1 cup
Butter - 1tbsp
Garlic finely chopped - 1 tsp
Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup add more cheese if needed
Salt to taste
Cajun Seasoning: Each 1/2 tbsp
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Italian seasoning
Black pepper powder
Salt
Paprika
Cayenne pepper powder
Method:
- Start cooking the pasta with 4 cups of water
- Add all the dry powder mentioned above for the cajun mix
- Take small portions of cajun powder and coat the shrimp
- Cook both side of the shrimp in a pan with a tbsp of oil
- Transfer to a plate
- In the same pan add a tbsp of butter
- Add the chopped garlic
- Add the red capsicum
- Chili flakes to your taste
- I am adding whole milk. Substitute with heavy cream for a creamier texture
- Add parmesan cheese
- Add in your pasta
- Top it off the fried shrimp
- Simmer and cook for 2 mins
- Serve warm with more cheese on top.
