Dry Sabzi Masala/Okra Fry


A Maharashtrian dry subzi mix that can come in handy for different veggies. 
Ingredients:
Okra - 2 cups
Onion - 1/2 cup
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 3 tbsp


Dry Masala Ingredients:
Roast the following: Besan/Gram Flour - 1/4 cup Peanuts - 1/2 cup Coconut - 1/4 cup Curry leaves Garlic - 6 to 7 Cumin - 1 tsp Corriander seeds - 1 tsp Sesame seeds - 1 tbsp Methi - 1/2 tsp
Add to the roasted ingredients: Asafoetida a pinch Chilli powder - 2 tbsp Garam masala - 1 tsp Sugar - 1 tsp Salt - 2 tbsp


 Method:
  • Dry roast the besan till the raw smell leaves

  • Start roasting the ingredients and keep adding one by one




  • Now add the ingredients mentioned above 
  • Grind to a coarse consistency

  • Fry the okras in oil and transfer to a plate when cooked.

  • Saute some onions, add turmeric and salt to taste


  • Add the fried okras
  • Add the dry subzi masala to your taste.
