Paneer Tikka

One favourite veg starter. My sister makes this very often and my kids like it when she makes them.
Its a dish which is made in tandoor. We can make it in tawa and turns out great like restaurant style. I have used red capsicum here, you can use tomato instead, its just to have different colors.

Preparation Time : 10 mins | Cooking Time :15 mins | Serves: 4
Ingredients:
  • Paneer - 1lb
  • Capsicum - 1
  • Tomato - 1
  • Onion - 1
  • Oil to fry
For Masala:
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp.
  • Curd/yogurt - 3 tsp
  • Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
  • Chili powder - 1 tsp
  • Dania - 1 tsp
  • Jeera powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  • Cut the veggies and paneer into big chunks.

  • Mix all the ingredients of the masala together and add to the veggies and paneer. Mix well and rest for minimum 30 mins or up to 2 hrs.

  • Take a tawa and fry in batches with sprinkling oil over it. Let it char fry(not burnt) to get the tandoor taste or use skewer/tooth pick for small batch.

  • Turn over and fry.
  • Serve with mint chutney.
