I tried this recipe with simple ingredients. Cheese balls can be made with various variations...
focusing on kids. You can also add more veggies. I have used frozen corn here, use fresh ones if possible. If you have cooked potatoes just add your choice of ingredients, roll and fry. I tried baking too but didn't get it perfect, its better to fry.Preparation Time : 25 mins | Cooking Time :10 mins |Serves: 4
Ingredients:
- Corn - 1 cup (steamed)
- Potatoes - 2 medium size
- Cheese - 1 cup
- Cilantro/Kothamalli - 1tbsp chopped
- Chili powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
- Maida/Cornflour - 1 tbsp
- Oatmeal powder/Besan flour - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Cook the potatoes in cooker for 2 to 3 whistles. Cool it and mash.
- Add the corn, cilantro, chili powder, garam masala, salt. Mix well.
- Add the corn flour, oatmeal powder and cheese. Mix together and make small balls. The mixture should be real tight. If not add some more besan to make it tight.
- Coat the ball in corn flour and keep. It will absorb the extra moisture.
- Fry them in hot oil until golden brown.
