A Very Happy Diwali To All. For those last-minute preparations. This recipe will come in handy.
Ingredients:
- Ripe Mango Pulp - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1/4 cup
- Milk powder(unsweetened) - 1 cup
- Cardamom - 1/4 tsp
- Saffron - a pinch
- Ghee - 1 tbsp
For Garnish:
- Chopped pistachios
- Saffron
Method:
- Make a smooth paste of fresh mango.
- In a pan add the pulp and sugar, cook on medium heat for 2 mins.
- Add the milk powder and combine all to a smooth consistency.
- Add the cardamom powder and saffron.
- Add the ghee and cook until it separates from the pan.
- When warm, make small balls and press in the middle for garnish.
- Add chopped pistachios and saffron for garnish.
- Enjoy your mango-flavored Peda's.
Note:
- Avoid sugar if using sweet mangoes or tin.
- Avoid sugar if using sweetened milk powder.
