Mango Peda


 A Very Happy Diwali To All. For those last-minute preparations. This recipe will come in handy.

Ingredients:

  • Ripe Mango Pulp - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1/4 cup
  • Milk powder(unsweetened) - 1 cup
  • Cardamom - 1/4 tsp
  • Saffron - a pinch
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp

For Garnish:

  • Chopped pistachios
  • Saffron


Method:

  • Make a smooth paste of fresh mango.


  • In a pan add the pulp and sugar, cook on medium heat for 2 mins.

  • Add the milk powder and combine all to a smooth consistency.


  • Add the cardamom powder and saffron.
  • Add the ghee and cook until it separates from the pan.

  • When warm, make small balls and press in the middle for garnish.

  • Add chopped pistachios and saffron for garnish.

  • Enjoy your mango-flavored Peda's.

Note:
  • Avoid sugar if using sweet mangoes or tin.
  • Avoid sugar if using sweetened milk powder.
