Murungai Keerai Rasam


Healthy and tasty recipe with murungai leaves. 

Preparation Time:10 mins |Cooking Time:25 mins |Serves: 4

Ingredients:
Murungai keerai - 1/2 cup
Toor dal cooked - 1/4 cup 
Onion - 1 tbsp
Tomato - 1/2 cup
Garlic - 3 cloves crushed
Pepper - 1/2 tsp
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida/hing/perungayam - a pinch
Oil
Salt to taste

Tempering Ingredients:

Mustard, urad - 1/2 tsp
Red chili - 2 


Method:
  • In a pan add oil, temper with mustard, urad, and red chili.
  • Add crushed garlic, curry leaves, perungayam.


  • Onions, tomatoes.

  • Murungai leaves, saute.

  • Add pepper jeera powder.

  • Add cooked dal and water as needed.

  • Salt to taste.
  • Bring it to boil. Switch off.
  • Serve.
