Stuffed Mushrooms

Looking for a light and elegant starter, stuffed mushrooms is sure to please the crowd. Its easy and bite size, with no mess. You can be all creative in making the filling.
Add more cheese if you are making it for your kids party.

Preparation Time : 15 mins | Cooking Time : 25 mins | Serves : 6

Ingredients:

Mushrooms - 15 nos
Garlic chopped finely - 1 tbsp
Spinach chopped - 1 cup
Pepper - 1tsp
Italian seasoning - 1 tsp
Parmesan Cheese - 2 tsp
Bread crumbs as required
Salt to taste
Olive oil

Method:
  • Wash and clean the mushrooms. Remove the stem and chop them finely for the filling. Keep the mushroom over a paper towel to drain the excess water.
  • Keep all the ingredients ready as it is going to take only a few minutes to saute. You can skip this part and mix all the ingredients and start stuffing directly.

  • Saute the garlic in little olive oil, add the stems, seasoning and spinach.

  • Switch off and add the bread crumbs, this will absorb all the water.

  • Start to preheat the oven. In a baking sheet drizzle some olive oil and arrange the stuffed mushrooms.

  • Bake at 400 degrees for 25 mins. I have added more bread crumbs on top for a crispy top. You can also add more cheese on top.

  • Enjoy your mushrooms while they are warm.

Note:
1. I have reduced the amount of cheese in this recipe, you can always add more cheese which will be absolutely delicious.
2. You can arrange them close by while baking, as it will shrink in size.
3. Use medium size mushrooms for easy filling.
4. Non vegetarians can add some minced meat to the filling.
