Thengai Paal Sadam/ Coconut milk pulao is a healthy dish recipe. Coconut milk is highly nutritious and very good for your stomach.
I have used canned milk in this recipe, easy for bachelors. But always use fresh coconut milk to get all the nutritious benefits. It goes well with a chicken curry. Vegetarians can choose brinjal chops or any spicy dish as accompaniment.

Ingredients:
- Basmati rice - 3 cups
- Onion - 1 sliced
- Ginger - 1/2 inch thinly sliced
- Garlic - 5 cloves thinly sliced
- Green Chili - 5 to 6 slit
- Mint leaves - 1/2 cup
- Coconut milk (fresh or canned) - 2 cups
- Water - 2 cups
- Ghee - 1 tbsp
- Cashew - 10 nos
- Salt to taste
- Oil
Masala for tempering:
- Cloves - 4
- Cinnamon - 1/2 inch
- Bay leaf - 1
Method:
- Cut and keep all the veggies. Soak rice in water.
- In a cooker, add oil and tempering masalas, ginger,garlic, onions, green chili, mint.
- Fry them a little and add coconut milk and water.
- Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
- Open when the steam is settled.
