Ingredients:
Carrots - 1/4 cup
Potato - 1/4 cup
Green beans - 1/4 cup
Green peas - 1/4 cup
Cauliflower - 1/4 cup
Onion - 1 sliced
Tomato - 2 medium
Green Chili - 4
Mint and coriander - a handful
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Basmati rice - 2 cups
Chili powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric -1/4 tbsp
Croutons/ fried bread- optional
Cashews fried - optional
Salt to taste
Oil
For Tempering:
Cinnamon - 1 small stick
Cloves - 4 nos
Bay leaf - 1

For Tempering:

Method:
- Cut all the vegetables in the same size and keep them ready. Soak rice in water.
- In a wide cooker add oil and temper. Add onions, green chili, and saute.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, tomato and cook until they get soft.
- Now add all the veggies, chili powder turmeric, and salt. Mix all together. Don't have to cook all the way. Saute only for a minute or two.
- Now add the soaked rice, 3 and 1/2 cups water. Pressure cook for 1 whistle(This may vary according to rice and cooker used)
- Open when the steam settles. Add the fried bread and cashews just before serving.
- Enjoy hot biriyani with cold raitha.
