My MIL got some dry murungai leaves from India grown in our house, so planned to make this podi. Murungai leaves and drumsticks have a lot of medicinal properties, so make this podi and keep it when you get them in abundance. It's one of the common trees grown in most of the houses in Southern India.

Ingredients:
Drumstick leaves - 2 cups - I have used dry ones, you can also use fresh which will get dry while roasting.
Urad dal - 1 cup
Channa dal - 1/2 cup
Red chili - 15 to 20 or to taste
Dania - 1 tbsp
Seeragam/jeera - 1tbsp
Groundnuts (optional) - 1 tbsp
Asfoetida/perungayam/hing - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Method:
- Measure and keep all the ingredients. Dry roast adding the ingredients one by one.
- Cool them and grind.
- Keep them in an air-tight container.
