Paneer bhurji, an easy to make vegetarian curry. Homemade paneer gets crumbled off often when you don't use the right mold. That's when I try to make this recipe else I like to use them for my paneer butter masala. I have added potatoes here which is completely optional. Skip this part if you are carb conscious. You could use the same recipe by substituting paneer with eggs.
Preparation Time:10 mins | Cooking Time: 15 mins | Serves: 4
Ingredients:
Paneer - 1/2 cup crumbled
Potato - 1/2 cup chopped to small cubes
Green Peas - 1/4 cup
Onions - 1/2 cup finely chopped
Tomato - 1/4 cup chopped
Ginger - 1 tsp finely chopped
Garlic - 1 tsp finely chopped
Green Chili - 1 tsp finely chopped
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Garma masala - 1/4 tsp
Amchur - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil
Method:
- Keep all the ingredients ready.
- In a pan add some oil and fry the potatoes with a little salt.
- When cooked remove and keep.
- In the same pan add little more oil, fry the ginger garlic, green chilies.
- Add the onions saute for a while and add the tomatoes.
- Add turmeric.
- Add the cooked potatoes, garam masala, amchur, paneer, and the peas.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve. This goes well with roti.
I have used frozen peas which doesn't take a long time to cook. If you are useing fresh ones add them when you saute the onions.
