Rice Kheer


Rice kheer is a rich pudding made of rice, milk, sugar, and saffron.
A very minimum ingredient but a rich recipe. You will be surprised by the quantity it makes with a handful of rice. Sugar can be substituted with milkmaid to make it even easier. 

Preparation Time: 10 mins |Cooking Time: 25 mins |Serves: 4

Ingredients:
Basmati rice - a handful - 50 gms
Milk - 2 cups
Sugar - 1 cup
Badam - for garnishing
Elaichi(optional) - a pinch
Saffron - a pinch

Method:

  • Take a handful of basmati rice, wash.


  • Add milk.

  • Pressure cook for 5 to 6 whistles.
  • Open when steam goes down. You can see the milk color changed to light pink.
  • Now add sugar and boil for 5mins.
  • Switch off and add saffron, chopped badam.
  • Refrigerate and serve chill.
